With the fishing industry lacking the leadership to aspire for anything greater than ‘sustainability’, Ben founded Pesky in 2018 with the goal of regenerating fish stocks and the marine environment. While incredibly lucky to have built a loyal group of buyers, Pesky hit a road block in their daily fish market, given consumer’s constant demand for fish with a fleet that is only able to get out fishing 150 days of the year. Therefore, to continue on its path towards a regenerative fishing industry, Whitfish have taken on the management of the Pesky fleet - pioneering a blast freezing process that enables them to source fish directly from the fleet when it is at its best quality, in peak season as well as when it’s at its most accessible price. By doing so, Herd has made regenerative seafood more accessible and affordable than ever.

All of our meat and fish is packaged in 100% recyclable materials.

Freezer Life

All of our meat and seafood can be kept in the freezer for at least 6 months, but refer to the best before date on each pack.

Storage & Use

We deliver all our meat frozen ready for you to put straight into the freezer. If any of your meat has thawed slightly during transportation it is completely safe to pop straight into your freezer.

When coming to cook your meat, defrost thoroughly and use within 4 days. Cook your fish within 2 days.

Suitable for oven cooking. Times may vary depending on oven. Ensure meat is thoroughly cooked before serving.
